Electric cars for the future - Term 3

Heya.
Welcome back to my blog, today, I'm gonna be sharing with you on what I did for my, 'Reading Task' Basically, for week 2, we started our workshops again. But, I really can't be bothered doing it, but I do. Anyways, we read a book about electric cars and it was basically saying what it would be like in the future, it's actually very interesting, I ain't gonna explain what's in it, so... I'm sorry? Heh. OKAY! So, I hope you enjo- WAIT! We also had to put our opinion about if we like the idea about electric cars in the future, or not. ALSO, ALSO! After we did all this, we commented on another person's questions, saying if we agree or not, okay? Do you now understand? Thank you? ENJOY??!!

Like I said before, we read the book, blah, blah, blah. ANYWAYS! The task we had to dao was, "Question the author" we went on our google site and went on a doc... yeah... SO! On this doc we had to type 4 questions, we would say to the author. Well, first we had to type about how this is related to our PBL driving question (Our PBL question is, "What will the future ask of us?") anyways! Let us begin...

So, here's how I thought this was related to our PBL question. -

"It’s basically asking how we could advance our future with Electric cars. Also, our Driving question is based around the future, so there's another reason it's similar."

Also, here's my opinion. -

"I think, no, I don’t want any electric cars in the future. Think about how much power this would have to use, think about how much material would be used, JUST to make these cars. So I think, no, I do not."

So yeah! Next, we did the questions, so here's what I would ask the author if I ever met him. -

Question 1:
These cars need charging, charging uses power, how much power do you think would we have to use to, charge every single car too it's max? Wouldn't that be a pretty expensive power bill? Also, how long would take to charge it all.

Question 2:
If we do make these cars in the future, do you think people would be happy on buying these cars, or would they just stick to normal cars that uses petrol, wouldn't the business just go to a waste?

Question 3:
Would these cars affect the environment? What about all the material we would have too use, just so we can make these cars?

Question 4:
If we do end up having to live with these cars in the future, what if the car loses it's power while you are not next to any charging stations? How would we charge it up if it takes one night to charge up the entire car to it's full battery?

So that was all my questions. Now, we are onto my comment. So before I explain what my comment says, I'll say who I wrote it too. So basically, there was a question that said,

"If everyone does change too electric cars, then what would happen to the petrol in the petrol stations?"

so I replied,

"The petrol stations. We could have charging stations for the cars as well. There can be some petrol stations, and some charging stations. However, if all the people do change too electric cars, we could replace the petrol stations with charging station. Then, BOOM! Problem solved!"

That was my comment!

Do you think the future would have electric cars?

Anyways, that's it! I personally think this was a great task too do. You can share with everyone what you think is a good question too ask. You can also see everybody else's questions too! You can also comment on what you thought about the comment, a good way too express what you think about the future, so, I think I liked this task. Now, without anymore talk, or... write? I'll be seeing you folks next time...

PEACE!

  2. Great job Neru! You have asked some very interesting questions - especially the question regarding the power bill, I also wonder how much it costs to charge them. I like how you have structured your blog post, it is very easy to follow. Next time you could consider adding in some photos to your post.
