Not so long ago, we did a practice on our fabric, we learned where our hands should be and, learnt the movement. We learned good techniques to hep on the way.

I am currently on my pillow (Obv) and about a courter a way to finishing.

What are, YOU doing for Technology for, Term 2

Polyfest - Term 2 - 2019

Hello everybody and, welcome back to another blog. Today, I will be sharing with you what was at, Polyfest. Basically what Polyfest,  it's New Zealand's largest schools cultural event, with almost 10,000 performers every year. Held regionally across Aotearoa, and culminating in a three day event in Auckland, it is a chance for schools to showcase their cultural performance talents in a competitive, but community focused environment. So I hope you enjoy.

Basically, a couple of weeks ago, we were preparing our food (We were making a stand) and it was a lot of work.

We had to make: Cake (obv) snowballs, cupcakes, we had a gallon and filled it up with cordial, we bought a giant cake for a raffle (If you got picked, you won the cake, it was basically a cake with caramel on top and, with some chocolate bars as well, we did more things but I can't remember.

When we were all ready to go to Polyfest, I remember going with mum, when we first got there, I obv wanted a souvlaki, but there was a lot of stands, we were quite far away from the rest, I remember there was some free water bottles, I also saw Tremaine there!

I can't remember what the acts were cause I didn't really go there.

Did, YOU go to Polyfest?

Anyways, I hoped you all enjoyed what I did for Polyfest, and I will be seeing you later..!

Speech Topic - Introduction - T2

Hello everybody and, welcome back to my blog! Today, I will be sharing with you my, 'Speech Topic' and more, so sit back and, enjoy!

Basically, what we have to do is write a speech about, Discrimination. Why? It's for our Term 2 goal driving question (How can we speak up against, Discrimination?) so we had to make a introduction (For our planning)

But, first. We had to pick a type of type of discrimination. (Ex. Racism, Sexism or, Ableism)
Here's mine:

- Topic: Racism
- What will I do: How it will effect the future, how it may effect others.
- How will I discuss this?: Research, use real life information, try relate to the audience

And here's my introduction:

- Introduction:

Racism.
For, many, MANY centuries this has been going on. People have been hurt because of their skin colour, just because where we’re their from.People have families taken JUST because of how they look. Have you, ever been discriminated against? Have you, EVER been racist? This is what we are going to be talking about.

Have YOU, ever been discriminated against?

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy on what I did for my 'Speech Planning' and I will see you later...

- Get my work done faster (Kinda fast)
- Get to the mat on time (Pretty good)
- Working with new people (Haven't really changed)

Discrimination Art - Term 2

"Doesn't matter if we're black or white, we're, ALL human" Hello, my name is, Neru and Today I will be sharing with you on what we did for our Discrimination Art. So I hope you all enjoy.

A couple days ago we read stories about racial discrimination, we then got told we had to either, make a logo or a slogan, we then print out a picture of us then put it next to our, slogan/logo, then coloured it in.

We also had to put a racial discrimination story or a, quote. Then were finished.

What I did for art though was, I did a logo (It was a white hand hold a black hand while the globe was in the background) i also did picture of me next to the logo, then put in a quote (The quote I did is at the start) I cut out my photo, stuck it to my coloured paper, but I haven't finished yet.

But, we also learnt many good quotes about racism, we looked at many stories about and we were pretty mad about it. How a teacher acts like to a brown student. Here's one.

"My teacher came up to me and said "You have a lot of potential you know? You are pretty smart than the others" I said: "Thanks" then she added: "You pretty smart for a, brown girl"

Making racial jokes is, not a laughing matter, if you ever hear someone make a joke, make sure to tell them to stop, tell them why that's bad, and do something about it.

What did, YOU do for discrimination art?

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed on what we/I did for, discrimination art.

PEACE!

How can we speak up against, discrimination? - Term 2

"Don't judge a book by it's cover" Hello my name is, Neru and welcome to my blog. For this post I will talking about, this terms, 'driving question' "How can we speak up against, discrimination. So I hope you all enjoy.

As you know from the start, this driving question is, "How can we speak up against discrimination" For people who don't know what discrimination is, it's, Judging/treating others unfairly because, where their from, their gender or, because their ability to do things. We have to speak up to stop it.

As part of our PBL we also have some sub questions. Here is a list below.

Racism.
If someone makes a offensive joke, don't laugh at it, don't join them on making the joke. Tell them to stop, tell what they just said called change someone. Don't encourage them on making it again. Just walk away.

Sexism.
Sports play a major role in sexism, if you are playing soccer don't leave a girl/boy out because of their gender, it doesn't matter if they're a girl, it doesn't matter if "It's a boy game" Let them play. Did you know: Women get paid less then boys? Did you know: Some people don't let women be a cop or builder? This is what is changing the community.

Ableism.
If you see someone disabled don't treat them like their kids, don't treat them like their not human, treat them like how you would treat your friends, ask them some questions like how you would ask someone else. Don't leave them out, JUST because what they do. Treat them like human.

Have YOU, been racist? Have YOU, been discriminated against? What would YOU, do if you saw/heard someone being discriminated against? How would, YOU speak up against it?

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy about what out driving question was for this term, I hoped you all enjoyed!

PEACE!
