Tech

Hello everybody, welcome back to my blog and today, I am going to share on what I am doing for Tech, every Monday. Now, sit back, relax and enjoy!

When we go to Tech: Now, as you read from above, Tech is every Monday, we go during lunch at about 1:40 or something like that. We catch a bus (From a lovely bus driver) and head off to Linwood College (Where Tech is held at) we then line up on the court, on our number (We are in groups for Tech, we line up at number 17) And then we head off, to resume what we were doing. We also get teachers to help us through the process (Obviously) my teacher is called: Mr. Osborn. He's really nice.

My first day at Tech, we had to make a die. (The other groups made different things: Wood and food) First, we got handed a sheet, it was basically a circle the right answer you think it is. Then we got handed a plastic cube. (Our die) We had a sheet to mark where to put our circles on it. We then: drilled the holes, sanded the cube, polish it, and then paint it. And that was it (I made it for my grandparents if they ever lost theirs) when the day is nearly over, we go back on the bus, back to school, then to home.

The next day we did the same thing, trying to finish our project.

Second thing I made: The die was obviously not the only thing we made, our other project was... A KEY CHAIN, yes a key chain to make for someone/something (I did it for my dog) In order to do this, you need to: search up an image of the thing you are making in silhouette (Example: Search up Cat silhouette) copy the image, paste it on this doc thing (I forgot what it was, sorry) Outline the image, delete the filled in image, create two outlines of the thing you are making, put a square over it, put the square connected to it, so if you move the cat the square will come with it, save it on the folder: St Francis A7, and then Mr. Osborn will print it on the vinyl cutter.

That was a long one, but we still have more to go.

Then you have to grab this pen with a little drill in it, cut the inside off, then stick it on a piece of plastic that you get, you then, sand blast it, polish it. THEN YOUR DONE!

FINALLY! WOO! That took ages. But it was really fun, creating new things, trying out new things, it was EPIC!

But, when we finish our project, we have to make a phone stand, which I haven't started...

What do YOU guys do for YOUR Tech...?

I hope you guys enjoyed this REALLY long post, on what I did for Tech. I will be seeing you next time!!

RE, Reading, math and writing

Hello everyone! Today I am going to tell you about what I do for RE, Reading Math and writing. So, sit back, relax and enjoy!

For RE, we had to do similarities about life in New Zealand, compared to life in South Sudan. South Sudan is the youngest nation on earth and spoken with 60 languages.  The nation is, VERY poor. And the people there, must do what they got to do. To survive. Here's what I got so far.

  1. What stood out for you from watching this video? Describe (1 paragraph) the similarities between life in New Zealand and the life of those living in South Sudan.

We both get up at the same exact time  We brush are teeth, we have breakfast but we have showers, which they don’t have.. And then get changed into our uniforms. We also pack our bags for school. We have similar subjects (ex. Math, reading, etc, etc) We eat our food at the same time when they do. We also have break times, to hang out with our friends.

I still have to work on it.

Now for Reading: In reading we all read different books, such as: Wild boy, and paint the town. For me I did wild boy, because it looked very interesting. Wild Boy is about a 24 year old boy, being the first person to walk around the ENTIRE New Zealand coastline, hoping  to raise $10,000 (But actually raising £30,000) for the Ronald McDonald house, Wild boy goes through MANY bad injuries such as: sheer cliffs, sharp and slippery rocks, dangerous harbours, and deep rivers. Drowning, injury, and

hypothermia were all real possibilities. This is actually a, VERY interesting book to read, and I highly suggest you read it too! (Link)

Writing:
Haven't really done that much for this, so... find out next time?

I hope you enjoy about, what I do in school time, I'll be sure to tell you guys what I do for writing! PEACE!nm v

Kindness Shirts

Hello everybody, and, yes... of course it is I! Your host, Neru Collins, and welcome back to my Blog. Today I am going to be sharing you for what I did for my Kindness shirt.

A few or couple of day/weeks ago, we had to make a T - Shirt Design and put stuff the resembles what #ChooseKind means. We could either do this on: A ChromeBook, or on a piece of paper (I did chromebook, but haven't finished...) basically, whoever won, got their design put on a REAL shirt, AMAZING RIGHT? Well yeah.

Basically... that's what I did, I hoped you guys enjoyed my blog, and I will be seeing you guys next time... PEACE!!

Biography

Hello and welcome back to my blog! Today, I am going to tell you about who I am doing for the biography, I hope you enjoy.

About 2 or 3 weeks ago we had to do a biography on people who are great, such as: Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Albert Einstein or Bill Gates. We had to explain on how they are great and how they inspire us.

For my bio I did Muhammad Ali, I explained his: Life accomplishments, what he achieved in his life, his birth, his career, etc, etc. I also had to do a conclusion/recap over his entire life. This is what I got for the conclusion: Muhammad was a great professional boxer, a great inspire to many people to be like him, won a lot of competitions, won MANY of his fights, and devoting his life to humanitarian aid.

Ali developed Parkinson’s disease due to the injuries he sustained throughout his career.
Muhammad Ali is great for many things.
One of them is because his boxing career consists over:

56 wins, including 37 as knockouts.
He lost only 5 times!
He won the world heavyweight championship from Sonny Liston in a major upset at age 22 in 1964.

Cassius went to Islam, he later changed his name to Muhammad Ali.

Ali converted to the Nation of Islam in 1965.

Ali refused to be drafted into the military, citing his religious beliefs and opposition to the Vietnam War.
I really hoped you enjoyed my Blogpost, I will be seeing you next time, PEACE!!

Swimming Lessons

Hi my name is Neru and I'm here to tell you about my swimming lessons. Everyday we go to swimming lessons at Q E 2. There are three lengths (One means go once, two means, go twice and three means go three times) I go for one length swimming lesson because I'm not that good of a swimmer.

My home base are the first ones to go to Q E 2 so its pretty cool. We all have buddy's and my buddy's name is Charlie. When getting changed, we've got to make sure our buddy's are nice and ready. (Charlie is normally ready before me)

We normally work on: Freestyle, survival backstroke, Breaststroke, backstroke, etc, etc.
I would say i'm pretty decent. I'm normally good at: backstroke and survival backstroke (also a bit of freestyle)

When we are nearly finish the swimming lesson, we usually have little fun. We do: floating mushrooms, races, dolphin dives (We also sometimes do that at the start) back-flips and front-flips and the wiggle worm.

After that we get changed, line up and wait for others to get ready, then leave.
Swimming lesson are really fun, and can help if you are in the sea or in a deep pool, it helps you practice so you don't drown, and helps if you are trying to save someone.

I hope you guys enjoyed, reading about what I do for swimming, and what I'm good at. Thank you for reading! Bye!
